    Goodbye TMC

These forums are getting battered with people who have nothing better to do other than respond to people just to be ignorant. I've even indulged in the ignorance myself and I regret it because that's not what the forum is for. If I've ever come off as an a-hole to anyone on here I genuinely did...

    Tempest wheels

I don't have a problem with the design of the hub-caps I have a problem with the things that are underneath. So considering most people that actually go with this wheel will NOT be taking the hub-caps off I don't have to see anything in-person to know that the physical wheel that's beneath the...

    Tempest wheels

That's the cheapest looking wheel I've ever seen. disgusting.

Every service experience makes me want to sell my Model S

Good Luck! Tesla's service needs improvement in MANY areas. Too bad we haven't received it yet. It seems like they could take lessons from basically every other brand out there on customer service. Those over the top things they used to do are long gone along with the "goodwill" services...

    2020 Build Quality

The production of the S changes daily, so while we may not physically see the upgrades/tweaks to the car there are some...The cars are not by any means amazingly put together but some are much better than others. I don't want anything from Model 3 trickling up to the Model S (especially the...

My app still has my car status as "ready for pickup" even though service completed a week ago

It seems they are choosing the latter. The techs don't really care because it's not their car they want to get it in and get it out as quickly as possible. I think ALL the Service Centers gets people's interiors dirty because my car's interior is covered in dirty fingerprints after a Service...

I like the new standard wheel design! Goodbye Slipstreams

I think everyone who has the 21s has damaged them already haha!! Out of sheer stupidity, I paid $4,500 for some wheels that I've treated like dirt so pretty much a waste of $4,500 because if I were to sell them as is I wouldn't get anywhere near that. I'm holding off on changing the wheels out...

I like the new standard wheel design! Goodbye Slipstreams

Eh. They pretty decent to me but looks are subjective. The Sonata wheels, however, are disgusting. My turbines are ugly because they are curbed:D.

I like the new standard wheel design! Goodbye Slipstreams

Maybe I think I read somewhere about them being more efficient. I think the Tempest are actually pretty good looking. Sonic Slipstreams are a $1,500 upgrade now so I think many will be going with The Tempest wheels.

I like the new standard wheel design! Goodbye Slipstreams

I just can't seem to take my 21s off my car even though I should have by now. My wife just cruises along with her 19s with no worries of destroying them to potholes and doesn't have to worry about curbing them every 2 seconds.
  11. P85DBeast

I like the new standard wheel design! Goodbye Slipstreams

I HATED the slipstreams for the first few months they were out then I got a loaner with them and they grew on me. I was beyond pissed when they got rid of the original 19' inch wheels (which I still think look the best). I hardly ever see the cyclone wheels. They still have the sonic carbon...

Would you buy a 2018 Model S that was a rental?

69k?!? It had to be a trade-in that was already in bad shape so they just sent it straight to the loaner fleet. Some of tesla's loaners are in worse shape than Enterprise rental tesla's...I'm sure of it.
  13. P85DBeast

Would you buy a 2018 Model S that was a rental?

Most people attempt to avoid damaging rentals to avoid the damage fees that pile up. However, that doesn't stop them from driving it like they stole it. I personally take really good care of my rentals (I've even washed a couple) to avoid any fees and just because I know that eventually...

I like the new standard wheel design! Goodbye Slipstreams

So the S has new wheels now...I actually think they look rather nice. Thoughts? Including extended range, these seem like a much better option than the 21s. Dare I say they actually look better than the 21s. (If this has been posted before delete it)

Model S: Is the white interior too hard to keep clean?

My car has white seats (they haven't been cleaned in about 5 months) and since I'm very much so a blue jeans guy my seats look blue after about 3 or 4 weeks. So like @Fresh-popcorn said to keep some wipes handy. Also, don't spill in anything ORANGE in the seats and leave it to sit for longer...

Tesla banned me from purchasing another Tesla after vehicle buyback

If OP does that then Elon will probably have his M3 put on the "Make his Model 3 ownership a living hell list". Considering OP still has a Model 3 the trips to the service center WILL (without a doubt) be VERY awkward:D.
  17. P85DBeast

Tesla banned me from purchasing another Tesla after vehicle buyback

Smart Idea. Although if I was OP and Tesla wouldn't allow me to buy a car UNDER my name I wouldn't stress it and I'd take my money elsewhere. They obviously don't want his business and I wouldn't want to give my money to them.

    7th Headlight went bad (Rant)

I've had my headlights replaced (twice) and this set seems to be working perfectly fine (has been for a while). Seems like a ton of manufactures have problems with headlights especially honda with their LED DRL warranty extension (the DRLs would burn out) for Accords. Honda extended the...

Tesla YANKED FSD option without notice - Class Action lawsuit? Any Lawyers here? [Resolved]

Overall Tesla was wrong in the situation. As you said "during the time Tesla had ownership they could've done whatever" they should've removed it BEFORE it was sold to the auction (or wherever). The problem is that they removed it after OP purchased the vehicle and (I assume) was using the...

Tesla YANKED FSD option without notice - Class Action lawsuit? Any Lawyers here? [Resolved]

You're losing me. At the end of the day, his car's abilities were limited after Tesla discovered that he purchased a third-party. Tesla's FSD 3k was not for the cameras or hardware it was to be able to get the feature working when avail. You're confusing me. I think he's upset about the entire...

New model S is coming sooner than we all think

Yes! I remember Elon saying that they make tons of changes to the cars a week. So technically everyone's car has different parts/materials. Who knows they could've tweaked the parking sensors over 5 times since a car that was produced 12 days ago.
  22. P85DBeast

Tesla YANKED FSD option without notice - Class Action lawsuit? Any Lawyers here? [Resolved]

Tesla being Tesla! It's sad that they resort to removing features from third-party buyers. Once they sell the car at auction (or wherever that may be) they no longer OWN it, its someone's car and they shouldn't think they have the ability to remove features. That's so ignorant that they removed...

New model S is coming sooner than we all think

Not happening. I can't count how many times this has happened and what did we gain from it? NOTHING. Even though there's still a small thought (very small) in the back of my mind saying a refresh is coming but I've been thinking that since 2016 haha! I thought it was perfectly normal for the...

    New to Tesla

First off, congrats & welcome!! You can look up Tesla how-to videos and there is also an online manual. Yes, All performance models have Red Brake Calipers. As far as an extended warranty I'd say yes (but this is just me I purchase extended warranties on ALL my cars for that extra peace of mind)...

    Curb Rash-- it's so humiliating

Oh god, tell me about it. My wife dented my car in the garage with her car and our garage has more than enough space!!!!!!!!

    Curb Rash-- it's so humiliating

Ugh, curb rash. All my wheels are curbed. Once it happens again you'll be over it. I was so upset when I curbed my wheels on my car but now since they ALL are curbed I don't care as much if someone did happen to curb them. My front passenger wheel is curbed all around. To own a Tesla its...

    P85D to 100D

I'd say 100D. The power of the P100D is unnecessary UNLESS you really really want to be able to outrun everyone from a stop. I bought a P100D (at the time for the power & I've come to realize I don't need it) so right now a 100D would be more than adequate for my needs (a simple 113-mile commute...

Model S P90DL, does it come with Full Self Driving Capability ?

You can use: https://ev-cpo.com/hunter/ (this particular website is a little too overwhelming for me) Or a newly introduced website: https://tezz.la/?market=US&region=KS I'd stick with Tesla's site because it tells what options the cars have.

Model S P90DL, does it come with Full Self Driving Capability ?

You're very welcome! Sadly none of them are P90DL all just standard P90Ds with FSDC.

Model S P90DL, does it come with Full Self Driving Capability ?

You are correct. I think there are about 40-50 P90Ds with Full Self Driving. My dad came across one about 3 years ago but it sold before he could even do any paperwork. Tesla has one for sale right now. 2016 Model S | Tesla Actually they have 3 2016 Model S | Tesla 2016 Model S | Tesla Hahaha...

Shall I have the collision repair at a random body shop?

Honestly, regardless of the damage, I'd say NO. I've made mistakes by taking cars to off the radar body shops who did HORRIBLE jobs and I had to pay to have the car repaired properly. However, if its a Tesla approved body shop then yes.

    Tesla vs Others' "Autopilot"

Nissan ProPilot Assist is the worst system I've ever used. You cant just activate the Adaptive Cruise and expect the Lane Keeping Assist systems to automatically activate you have to press multiple buttons to even get ALL the "autopilot" systems working at the same time. They could've made it...

    Fair price on Scratch repair?

$1300 & $2900 does sound a little out of the park to me. I paid a PDR guy less than that to fix 2 dents. Also, when did the $1 bill look like that hahaha!:p

    Tesla vs Others' "Autopilot"

Wife had a loaner 2019 Ford Fusion Titanium two times in a row and it had Ford Co-Pilot 360 and it had a full suite of driving aids...Overall I'd give it a 9/10 the Lane Keeping Assist System was wonky at times and the HARSH vibration you got in the steering wheel whenever you'd veer out of your...

Loaner / Rental fleet almost completely eliminated?

It depends on SC. I know at the Decatur SC I get my car serviced at always gives me some form of a loaner car (most of the time S loaners). I just dropped my car off at the SC today because the heater quit working (and wiper blade replacements). They (one of the Advisors) estimated that the car...

When you have a service, do you get a courtesy car?

Go figure. That must be why loaners are always filthy. Enterprise doesn't give a crap about any of their cars and hand them out in any condition. The last 2 times my wife's 85D went in for service she got the SAME 2019 Ford Fusion Titanium both times and both times it was filthy....It did have...

    Parking assistance not available

I've had it happen to my P100D. However, my front sensors were intermittently working for about a week before they failed altogether. Tesla eventually replaced the front parking sensors and the seals surrounding them...One of the front sensors fell in after replacement which sent the parking...

When you have a service, do you get a courtesy car?

Tesla's wasting more money on giving out Uber credits rather than giving out Loaner cars. Such a dummy move.

When you have a service, do you get a courtesy car?

A filthy loaner is better than no loaner lol! I knew loaner vehicles were trade-ins but I thought they were in such bad condition that Tesla didn't plan on selling them so they get sent to the fleet of loaners....I've come to believe that Tesla doesn't care about the loaner cars because some of...

When you have a service, do you get a courtesy car?

Consider yourself one of the lucky ones hahaha!! I can't remember the last time they gave me a Performance model while my P100 was in for service.
  45. P85DBeast

When you have a service, do you get a courtesy car?

We were promised all P100D Model S (don't remember if it includes X or not) loaners and that never happened. I think at some point they were doing the valet service pick up & drop off (personally I've never had it done) and I don't think that lasted very long either...So I wouldn't rely on this...
  46. P85DBeast

When you have a service, do you get a courtesy car?

We've gotten multiple loaners throughout ownership (even when we didn't need one). If they don't have any Tesla loaners available I get an ICE vehicle. I honestly think it depends on your SC and whether or not you're a lucky one. Even if it's a dirty loaner they've given me one.
  47. P85DBeast

Do I just sue Tesla? New record for getting Powned

That's the problem. If I purchase a 100k+ vehicle I want to be able to mod it to my liking. I understand some things void warranty because you are risking the electronics of the car (this includes ICE vehicles as well), but if I want to do some upgrades I should be able to with ZERO fuss from...

    help me out here folks

I didn't know all third party car's had FUSC removed...Seems like a dummy move. Does Tesla not expect their cars to end up at a Nissan dealer?! lol.. That should be told to all people who purchase third party (not that I expect ALL dealers to be super Educated on Tesla).
  49. P85DBeast

Do I just sue Tesla? New record for getting Powned

The OP changing out the 12V is the reason Tesla isn't fixing his car under warranty, so its not really irrelevant to converse about him changing out the 12V because that's the problem here....Do I believe that Tesla is wrong in this situation? Yes and I also believe that they should be helping...

Driving the Model S for Uber + Lyft

Correct me if I'm wrong but doesn't uber charge a cleanup fee of like $150?!? I'd refrain from driving my Tesla for Uber or lyft because I've seen too many dashcam videos of things. There's footage online of a girl who took a dump all over the interior of some guys Mercedes....Too many horror...
