I would like the power frunk, but is it possible to just install the power latch part? I don't care about open and close as it seems quite slow. Just would like not to have to two handed closed the hood

I have installed the system to 2 Model Y. I assume it's similar in Model X. I figure if you don't change the struts and keep the rest of the installation, it may work the way you want. Then again, the controller may detect a fault in the system. If I have a chance, I can test it. It's just a matter of unplugging the 2 connectors to each strut.

That’s a question for Hansshow. I installed a Tesla Offer power frunk on MX to avoid latching it also, but the power lift and lower is so handy, I use it all the time. The opening and closing speed is set by the owner, I think I set mine in the middle, the speed is fine.
