Premium connectivity, can it or can it not be added to a SR+ in the future?

I read somewhere that there will be an option for SR+ owners to pay from premium connectivity in the future. Can anyone confirm or deny that? While I have your attention, does the voice control in the SR+ do anything but make phone calls? Even if I say something as simple as "navigation" it balks and tells me to try again.

I use the voice to navigate and works very well (95%)

Yea I had the wrong syntax. "Navigation" does nothing but "navigate to" or "drive to" works great. I also can use the voice command button to activate Siri to do hands free texting.

It would be free money for Tesla, right? The software already exists, our cars already have the software...

Price point would be an interesting discussion, though. $100 a year sounds fair, but I'm not sure I'd buy at that rate. Maybe if it allowed you to turn your LTE connection into a hotspot as well...

If that page is to be believed, they'll start charging people who bought their cars in July 2018 starting in July 2019.

Yes and no. The software part would be free, but the LTE data and Slacker/Spotify expenses would not.

It should be. From the same FAQ webpage: "Connectivity plans for Model 3 without Premium Interior will be announced later this year."

It’s sucks. I was excited to see this but it has no date f when it was published. Some of the Superchargers “coming soon” or “later this year” have been years. I sure wish I could have the features. It’s my regret. I wish I had purchased the mid range.
