Musk says to wait for a 15% delta. So why not let the 60s upgrade now? That far exceeds the recommendation...
for 60 owners it makes sense. but for 85 owners it's not really cost effective to only gain 5kWh.

Elon said he *does not* recommend existing owners upgrade to the 90kWh pack, but instead they plan on making the packs about 5% bigger every year. so he recommends waiting 3 or 4 years when the battery packs are much larger and then upgrading instead of upgrading every single year.

Well, for a lot of us our cars turn three very soon... like in a few months. Between degradation, lowered supercharge speed and older technology, I wonder what the tipping point is for making the call to spend the $3k?

Musk just said on the call to skip upgrading until the delta is 15% - expect 5-10% increase every 2 to 3 years.
