Would Mercedes or BMW cut you a check if they offered a fall discount to promote sales and you had bought in the summer? Keep things in perspective
Mercedes and BMW don't make a a big deal about fair pricing like Tesla, where even Elon reacted to the Q3 discounts in 2016.

If you claim to have a no discount policy then you will be held to higher standards when you do changes like this.

That explains why, the X didn't drop as much in price. That's reflected in your upgrade cost as well. Mine is an AP2 S60D.
Sure, but this is a X75D thread, and you're making statements based on a $2K upgrade price that only applies to the S. It's a bit confusing.
BTW I have X60D and my upgrade price was also updated to $6500.
For $2K we would pull the trigger, but at $6500, well there's still a lot of room for that number to come down further..

My mistake. I have an S and an X, got confused as to which thread I was in. Sorry

This is why I chose Tesla - what an awesome company! I take delivery tomorrow of an inventory vehicle and they went ahead and discounted my price by $3k. Vehicle was already discounted by $5,500 for the 1k+ miles on it (showroom) and it comes with unlimited charging for life. Awesome that they also made my purchase good as new with the discount. Thrilled - another example of how they have been very strategic around pricing and planned obsolescence / depreciation in general.

I have a demo 75D that I am supposed to pick up next week... I have a call out to my specialist to get an update on price. As per the the terms of the Tesla contract, prices are fluid. Once the buyer signs the Order Agreement then I would think the price is "locked in" (I have yet to sign this agreement). Giving till 4/24 for current 100D orders to decide before the price goes up seems to play into this. Any legal opinions on this?

As of today, the upgrade price is down to $4500. Getting closer.
