Question about Tesla App iPhone Widget

Does using the Tesla app widget on iPhone prevent the car from going into a deep sleep state? I know that opening the app on the phone will wake up the car from sleep. But does the widget have any effect on the car? I would avoid using the widget if it causes phantom drain of the battery. Thanks for any advice!

I don't believe so, I'm pretty sure people have tested that. I would make no sense for the widget to keep the car awake, that would be a significant bug. However, the downside is that the information displayed will be stale, from the last time the car was awake.

It does not, it’ll even show you how long it’s been since it was updated at the bottom.

on my iPhone the Tesla Home Screen widget wakes the car when ever I access my Home Screen. I see a small counter to the bottom right of the widget which shows time since the last access.
The counter starts from seconds when every I access the Home Screen . Would like to know if there is a setting that could prevent it.

Very true, may be with Tesla it’s just not possible to get info without waking it. I have also removed the Watchla app from my Apple Watch wake screen too.
