For those that are planning to opt for FSD, here is a piece of advice - DONT.

You will end up as an @oktane, all angry, frustrated and filled with hate. I would be upset too if I had been suckered into paying for FSD. We already have enough of those here in TMC and we don't need more.

If FSD every materializes in your life time, you can always pay an extra $1000 more and get it.

One reason I think pre-paying for FSD isn't wise is that I might total the car before FSD is released, lighting thousands of avoidable dollars up in flames in the process. If Elon needs more cash up front to fund the growth curve, he can start selling Tesla-branded flamethrowers as well.
