Radio Silence From Tesla after the June Texts, Tesla Manager Helps Out Willing To Help Anyone He Can

Ordered White / White PUP FSD 1/30/2020 as soon as tow hitch became an option in April I added it.

6/2 I got the 2-4 weeks text

6/14 I got the 1-2 weeks text

6/25 I got a you are in queue to receive a VIN text

6/26 same text as above

Not a peep since then
7/20 decide to chat and see if there is any movement told I have a tentative VIN but they can't tell me what it is because it's not final yet.

7/21 I reach out to Mark Gomez from the "Tesla Model Y" Facebook Group he's a manager in So Cal for Tesla.

About 11:35 Eastern last night Mark reaches out via text and let's me know that my car is built and in Oakland and that "It’s committal date is the 30th, Pick up 8/1"

He then sent me my inside advisor's name, phone number & work email.

If you are stuck in update limbo (Especially 2019 reservation holders) if you are ready to take delivery I'd recommend reaching out to Mark Gomez via the Facebook group.

He might even be able to match you to a vehicle that is a slight variation from your order to speed things up.
So he wanted me to make sure and let everyone know he's here to help and will try and help as many people as possible.

I noticed your post on the fb page. I clicked his name in your post and it brings up a guy with 0 posts since 2018..... Is that the guy? Did you just message him through fb messenger?

Yeah that's the guy sent him an FB Messenger message, you might want to comment on my post and tag him. After I reached out didn't hear anything back from him on messenger. Sent the details of what all had been going on and my reservation # he then texted me last night at 11:35 PM and said he had some updates for me.

He said the same to me, and he has been looking. Unfortunately the only thing he has managed to do so far is to screw up my account when he assigned me a car that didn’t match what I wanted, and so far he has been unable to get my original configuration restored. Since I’ve ordered a discontinued stealth configuration which this is distressing. There’s do over if he can’t fix this soon.

I have to say thank you for getting this out and I will do my part getting this out. I reached out Mark Gomez after reading this thread. the dude called me back at 8:30 PM. VERY NICE GUY and He is highly motivated to help people that are having issues. I am at 12 weeks and the end of my 60 day financial approval window. I was promised an end of Q2 delivery, which never happened. I called several times a week to my local store checking for a VIN assignment. I emailed my delivery specialist weekly as well. NOTHING but, "Sorry, no vin, no cars available". Mark has access to VINs to a higher lever and things behind the scenes. Within minutes, he found me two option available at my Local store. Thats right, at my local store, the one they said there is nothing! Granted, I took a couple concessions, by going down to Gemini Wheels and no trailer hitch. All of which I can add myself for cheaper anyway. The main thing is I got my white on white! Mark said it was okay for me to give his email: [email protected] This guy is there and eager to help people with issues. I cannot praise him enough and will let ELON know on his Twitter! Cheers!

Mark Gomez completely screwed me! I had a stealth performance order on the books since January. Minutes after I originally reached out to Mark on Tuesday asking for status I got a call from Fremont to confirm my order and telling me that they would fulfill all existing stealth orders before ending production. On Wednesday Mark found an existing match for me except it was PUP (and tow), which I did not want. He assigned the car to me overwriting my non-PUP order without my permission. Now he tells me he can't restore my stealth order because they are no longer accepting stealth orders.

My RN still shows a stealth configuration but Mark told me that it would not be produced. He said “I am sorry to inform you but the performance without PUP is no longer being made”.

I started a new order for a Long Range version with the 20” wheels. I figure I will leave my stealth RN active just to see what happens. But, according to Mark, it will not be honored.

So really sorry to everyone that has had a bad experience following through on this, that certainly wasn't my intention - I just wanted to pass on what I thought would be a good lead to help people get their cars sooner. Going to edit the original post to put some caveats. If you have any suggestions of what I should say please let me know

edit: Can no longer edit original post - YMMV - Please be very specific what options are on the table for you, if you don't want your reservation changed in any way please make that clear when you first reach out. If you are willing to take other configurations specifically state what configurations you are willing to take. Be as explicit as possible in what would be a good remedy for you, even if that is just an update on your existing reservation and changing nothing.

He did not tell me anything of the sort with the stealth orders. I haven’t heard from him since Wednesday but would rather not hear back from him if he is going to take me away from the stealth with inductions. I am holding out hope until told otherwise. Wouldn’t someone already have reached out to say to switch your order if they weren’t going to produce your current order?
