Rear Brake Lights

Hi,
a friend of mine was following my Tesla Model 3 and noticed that the brake lights did not function properly - one side did not light up. I checked this later and found it to be true.
I had no warning in my car and have no indicating icons to warn of this situation. This is a fairly dangerous fault since following vehicles will not know when the car is braking - fortunately in my case not all brake lights failed.
Is there not a warning icon anywhere to indicate if the brake lights fail ? - in all my recent previous cars there was such a warning.
The car is going to fixed by Tesla under warrenty.

There isn't a warning or error which appears on the display but it will generate an alert you can view in the service menu. Unless Tesla proactively message you via the app (assuming it's flagged to them) it does seem a big oversight not to throw a warning on the display. Maybe ask when the car goes in to see why there's no customer alert for light failures.
