Does anyone know if this is a known issue and if the manufacter (Tesla) have any help for me and my car, I have read about more MS 90D -16 that has the same issue.

The car is now toed to a dealer for repairs but I am probebly the one that need to pay for this failiure???

I put pictures in to show my right hand rear lower control arm.

Best from Sweden, DO love my car!!!!

As a update I have now got a great news from my dealer, they take care of my righthand side, including the airsuspension that had broken and I pay for the lefthand side that is still not broken (own chiose to do both sides now!). The dealer is doing the right thing but im still very gratfull for this, I pay 5k Sek and they pay about 25k as a warranty. It will take them about one week then I get my loved Tesla back again, during this wait I have a car from them for free.

Just got a catastrophic failure on the driver side, rear lower control arm as well. Happened in a parking lot, so not at speed. Left rear wheel was sitting at almost a 45 degree angle afterwards. Car is a 2016 90D with a close to 70k miles on it, luckily still under the Tesla Used Car Warranty (bought in 2020, when that was still up to four years). Service Center already acknowledged this as a warranty case, unclear what the damage is in total at the moment. Could be anything, as the condition of the control arms on the other side is unknown, possible damage to rear drive motor is in play just as a possibly cracked sub-frame. Without the warranty - SOL.

Same. Got a 2016 s90d. Went in for a proactive drive unit oil change. They recommended upper control arms and aft links. Total quoted was 4700 cad. No warranty :(
If you haven't already approved the estimate, keep in mind that suspension arm replacements are something that a reputable independent mechanic can do for you for much less (lower hourly rates). You can also save some money on the parts by buying reputable aftermarket parts (e.g. Sidem/Beck-Arnley).

I've asked a place that used to work on my Allroad if they'd look over / replace parts on my 90S and they declined. Do you have a shop in boston you'd recommend?

Also, is there a list of which suspension parts on these cars have been failing?

This is from tesla. Price I found evannexand even oreillys to be about a third of the quoted. This is all in cad btw. Also did not include miscellaneous bolts and other parts. Some of those bolts are like $30 each!

So can this be considered a definitive list of suspension components that should be replaced if they haven't already?

My friend's garage (not a Tesla SC) has diagnosed that the front lower offside arm (the front most one that the shocker bolts through) and also the rear offside front most arm (I think it's called rear integral link, aka dog bone) on my 2016 85d with air suspension need replacing. According to Tesla, the replacement parts in question are FR SUSP AFT LINK ASSY (1027351-00-E) and RR SUSP INTEGRAL LINK ASSY PERF PLUS (1021422-00-B).

If I'm replacing these components, should I just get my mate to do all of the parts you list above while he's at it? He's getting them from First Line which is a UK aftermarket parts supplier. I did consider going for Tesla parts but I've read some people still question if the revised, beefed up components are as good as some third party ones. Quite frankly, having read all these threads I'm more inclined to put my trust in a third party manufacturer rather than Tesla! Thoughts?
