Look at this thread. I liked the wooden block method and that’s what I do. With one jack I had all four wheels off the ground.

Personally, I've used 3 Ton ESCO jack stands (with an occasional hockey puck) for 20+ years.
Solid, stable, easy to use. Not the cheapest.

Note that you don't need jack stands to rotate the tires, as long as you have a spare. It's only slightly less efficient.

Also, if you buy tires from a local shop, they will probably do rotations for free.
