So the countdown is on. My Model X long range five seater with white exterior and black interior has arrived at the delivery center. They removed FSD last week leaving me very concerned my VIN would get pulled. Guess I’ve been slightly paranoid. Stopped by to take a peek tonight and aside from travel dirt it seems to be in very good exterior condition. The gaps look good alignments look good and I’m feeling slightly optimistic. I checked the head and tail lights for excess goo but they seemed clean. Delivery is set for 3/31 last appointment of the day.

Those are the best aligned FWDs I've seen yet. The drivers side is very slightly down on the back of the door. The passenger side is PERFECT.

Day 3 Update. None of the previously reported issues have occurred during the next day of use. But this doesn't mean that there were no issues.

Auto Parking Issues

1. The car started moving too fast to be considered safe.
2. In a second, it stopped and logged the abort of Auto Parking in the notifications. Probably, it was afraid of a huge column.

Mobile App Issues

1. Safety score didn't show up even after driving a few hundred miles, waiting for a couple of days, signing out, restarting and reinstalling the app.

P.S. The issue with the flash drive was resolved by switching from GUID to MBR and reattaching it several times until it worked.

This is sickening… nauseating. 😖😵‍💫
Worst nightmare.
Well, life is short and I am tired of waiting for the perfect Model X. Also, the issues look worse in the pictures than in person. This is my second X and the first was much worse. The inside is fantastic and the driving experience is great. I will report back after Tesla services these issues and let you know what they say is "in spec" and what they actually correct to my satisfaction.
Being a part of the "Tesla Family" is about the good, the bad AND the UGLY!

A thought for my fellow refresh order holders. My insurance quote was based on the sales agreement sent to them by Tesla for $89K.
My configuration if ordered today would be $129,100.00.
I sent insurance agent a screen shot of the current pricing from the Tesla website configurator and they agreed to insure it for $129K. The cost was an extra $300.00 for the year. Well worth it.

Looks a lot better than mine!

Certainly to each their own… for me, I would acquiescee that FSD is more like PFSD right now, where P is “Partial,” but it’s my observation that the Partial-ness is fading away.

I still routinely have to gently press the accelerator to initiate certain left turns and occasionally have to take over, but I just drove 70+ miles door to door last night with both city and highway driving, some pretty crazy traffic and turns, and basically it was like having a chauffeur drive me.

Not only was FSD really good, but also having FSD managing the basics definitely allows me to have FAR more surround / situational awareness than without.

I’m the kinda guy that likes working with imperfect things in development. If you’re looking for a completed product, a beta product is not for you. Like @mr-dmitry mentioned, yeah it sometimes wants to go over the center line on curves but that’s when I take over and it gets feedback… it’s a driver assist package right now…FSD Beta /= FSD. (And btw it’s doing better with curves and center lines).
Situational awareness is so right. You become more hyper defensive driver rather than staring at the road in front of you. On long trips its actually a bit invigorating. As you describe this surround/situational awareness makes me definitely more awake say, at night, which is frankly, safer. It still trips up on some easy stuff, but most drives are disengagement free.

There’s no way to make them come up if you already have the car right? I don’t see the option anywhere in the app.
I mean for the iPhone, if you wanna have sound for the user manual video in Tesla app, you know there is the physical switch on the left upper side on your iPhone to turn on and off the silent mode. Turn off the silent mode then you’ll get the sound.

Did you remove FSD from your app after they had a “warning” message that states it may delay your delivery if removed?

Bc I’m already lamenting that I have to spend an unexpected $10,000 for the FSD….I was planning on removing it after I got a VIN but I don’t want to jeopardize my delivery process!

I was too nervous to remove FSD too! Delivery was Wednesday, but got in early… picking her up tomorrow!
