Regen braking after 2022.44.25.3

My neighbor (a casual Tesla owner) is complaining about reduced REGEN braking. I have noticed no such thing and we both own 2022s. I asked him all the usual questions since we just came out of that COLD arctic blast where our temps fell to -7F and he assures me he didn't see any BLUE SNOWFLAKE OR THE DOT'S on the power bar. So I plan on taking his Y for a test drive and see how his Austin-built LR AWD compares to my Fremont-built PMY.

Why not just apply brakes when super cold UNTIL regen is back to normal, then we do not have to go in setting to turn it on/off?

The problem that’s being discussed here is that the regin breaking wasn’t normal when the outside temperature was warm and the battery was also warm. It was far less at speeds above 30 mph for me.

I too have noticed that after the last couple of updates the regen braking is much reduced. It used to be that I'd never have to touch the brakes when slowing down. Now I find that I often do have to engage the brake to slow down enough to get to a stop.

I saw a suggestion in another thread that said, to toggle the breaking when cold on and off again to get region back to where it is supposed to be. I tried this today and it worked for me.

I tried it and it seems to have worked for me too.
