My M3 is a 2020 long range AWD with FSD. Like many here, my last few firmware updates have been problematic. 2023.27.7 hung at 60 percent for 72 hours, but I was able to reinstall the previous version in service mode and the new download resumed. A week ago I got a notice that 2023.44.30.3 was ready. It hung at 30 percent for 48 hours, so I again tried a service mode reinstall.
This time it HUNG IN SERVICE MODE while “Unwrapping present”. 48 hours later, the car is undriveable and unresponsive to the app. I have a solid WiFi signal to the garage and the car shows as connected to the network. I tried to open a service ticket, no reply yet.
I’m tempted to try a two-button reboot, but worry I might brick the ECU. Thoughts?
