Replacement Screen Turns Yellow....

2015 MS D70 bought as "CPO" early 2019. It was delivered with a main screen bubble that they tried to hide with Night Mode which made it look like a road at the top of the map (which didn't move), but it got progressively worse, so I had it replaced last summer 2019 under warranty....oops, I mean "Good Will"

I usually keep my screen in the dark mode, but must have caught the light just right coming out of the garage... and there it was, that big beautiful yellow border! How exciting! I switched it to Day Mode just to make sure it wasn't my eyes, and lo, it really is there.

This, mind you, on an already-replaced screen.

I can't wait to report it to the SC to see what they have to say.

They'll just have you bring it in for a UV treatment to get rid of the yellow border. And we have yet to see anyone report that the yellow border has come back after a treatment.

I hope it is that easy. We'll see.

Replacing a defective part with another defective part is not exactly a brand confidence-builder.

Yes, lots of threads about SC UV fix and DIY, as well. Now that weather is warmer there will be more yellow borders showing up.

UV treatment will reduce but not fully eliminate it. It will take 3x longer than service center estimate but it is usually free or very cheap since they just let the device sit for hours until the band is gone.
