Roadster 2.5 AC compressor replacement

Anyone know if there is a different brand besides the “ Tesla” AC compressor. I had heard there is a GM one that is a direct replacement. Peter or @MLAuto or anyone know of such a beast or know who makes the Tesla branded One and model number?

I think it might be a Ford part no. AM64-19D623-AB

I thought it was the one from the electric Ford Focus part# CV68-19D623-AC, but it has been a few years since I had one out so I could be wrong. Check the online pics and compare once you get it out.

Sorry for the late response. The one that worked for me was Ford part no. AM64-19D623-AB. Get as high of serial number as you can as higher = Newer

Replacement is a royal pain as you basically need to remove everything from the front area to get to it. Make sure you fill with Freon and the proper oil that is MADE for EV’s or you risk damaging compressor and risk of shock due to conductivity of normal AC oils and leak detection dyes. Have fun!
