Roof storage with roof rack

I’m planning a road trip in a few weeks and I’m trying to figure out what roof storage I should use. I bought the Tesla roof rack and I already have a collapsible soft roof bag that I used on my X3. It would sit on the roof and strap to the roof rack. I am hesitant to put it right on the glass roof. I couldn’t find info in the User Manual about this. The load rating of the roof rack itself is 165 lbs. Does anyone have information about putting weight right on the roof itself?

I would put some plywood above the two beams to hold the collapsible soft roof bag to avoid contact with the glass.

However, during the recent street demonstrations, there was a guy with a speakerphone standing on top of a Tesla roof.

If I can find the picture in the news I will post it.
