more info please, i have had a similar issue, i can explain what checks you can do.We need to brake it lose with a huge throttle. Tesla roadside service says they are aware of the problem but the service department refuses to look at it or even acknowledge its a problem. Just Awful!

Stop putting the car away wet. The pads are seizing to the rotors. Very common. The Car wont move until we force it in drive or reverse, then a big bang and a jolt! Happens like two, three time a month...
yes, your pads/rotors are wet and are fusing to eachother. because this car doesnt use the brakes as often, they are not as "clean" due to surface contact and use as normal car brakes. happens if your car got sprayed by the evening sprinklers for example, and sat overnight. Is this a common problem?
or you've taken it through a car wash that has an underbody spray, or just washed it yourself and used pressure washer/sprayer/hose to spray the wheels/wheel well area well to try and clean your rims well, getting the brakes and rotors wet.happens if your car got sprayed by the evening sprinklers for example, and sat overnight.
To be specific, after car wash drive and use brakes enough to dry out (couple minutes with heavier brake use), before letting car sit.Is this a common problem?
This is what I thought, I continue to stay on the brakes and try to dry the pads after washes. If it is the brakes does Tesla have a new Pad that corrects the problem? Have you herd of any other issues, I was thinking maybe another issue like a broken gear in the parking brake like they had in 2014. I saw they had a recall for that. Really crazy, my wife is afraid to drive the car!A fairly regular / normal cause of this type of thing is the brake pads sort of fusing to the rotors. Have someone check your brake pads, or try bedding in your brakes (google that term, bedding in brakes, you should find videos describing it. Its basically accelerating, then braking hard but not all the way to a stop, a few times).
If you get the new CCB retrofit from Tesla it should fix your problem as my other car with CCBs doesn't have this sticking issue since a CC rotor does not rust the same way an iron one does when exposed to moisture. It will only cost you $20k.

Whats a CCB ?that said, this is one of the few cars id splurge for CCBs on, since the brake wear is so minimal. ive had the same pads and rotors for 160k miles. still measure just fine, no need to replace yet
