Sanity check read hatch (boot) seals on passenger side

Would someone be kind enough to check that the rubber seal between the rear glass and the boot lid on the passenger side actually bridges the gap? I've noticed on mine it doesn't - I have a service request in place for another issue but my rubber seems somewhat lacking on this side

That is normal on any car with a powered boot. It is cut out to avoid fouling the larger powered strut pictured.

On a related note, the seal around the boot on my M3 has a gap between the seal and the rear bumper (i.e. under the seal so not affecting water ingress into the boot - it’s not easy to see on the photo).
the bumper also appears to be chipped in some way at the same location. Does anyone else have anything like that?
