Screen Discolored Near Bezel

This isn't burn-in... there's no artwork present to cause this, but it looks like burn-in all around the inside of the bezel.

I first noticed this happening a few weeks back, but now it's starting to get really obvious.

Anyone know what this is?

Common problem with Model S. Tesla will replace the screen (not the MCU behind it, so don't get your hopes up) under warranty.

I have heard that the discoloration is caused by a failure of the touch screen adhesive. Interestingly if you get the "touchscreen unresponsive" message they replace the entire MCU.

I had the exact same problem but only one line, at top bezel. They replaced under warranty for me.

It seems to do no harm. Maybe just a discolored adhesive on one of the layers.

Some just ignore it, and others are having it replaced.

Would not take it in for just that, but if you are having something else done at the Service Center, mention it to them so they can have one in stock to replace it when there.

Lots of owners have encountered this issue, including my MX (April 2016), a matter of time before my MS (March 2018) suffers the same fate.
