Secondary account software updates

With new iOS app that doesn’t let spouse of owner do certain activities like buy acceleration boost, will the app still show software updates available I can choose to install now?

Interestingly I was watching for 40.6, wife’s car and account shared with me. No alert that software update was available, no alert that it completed. Car has indeed updated. I will keep looking. Previously I have gotten alerts on update completion regardless of whether I set them in motion or not.

Check the notification settings for your app. Sometimes they change during app updates. Even when notifications are enabled, I don’t always get them.

Thanks for the tip, I checked both in iOS settings and in the app itself, everything is enabled. Oh well. I guess if all the things a software update could fubar, I am not worried about not getting a notification for an administrative task on a car that isn’t even mine as far as the car is concerned.
