I rolled my 10x -c185 to next week net +$3.25, yeah, was too early on the sell, could have got +$1 more, but timing the market and all that
also did the same for my B/W, ok to lose shares

Yeah these are -p185's and -p200's assignments that I've taken loads of premium against, so quite OK if they exercise - I would have let them go today, but I really don't see the SP getting up there, too many call-walls, I think they'll keep it just under 180 today

That being said, I did close out this week's for 25c, just to avoid surprises... but I'm leaving my -c195's and -c200's in place

Also have 25x -c190 in play for next week, of course straddling the 18x -p180's, I win big-time if those calls go ITM...

Edit: Added 5x more -c185 @$4.5

  • pre-market High = 176.97
  • weekly 100% fib = 177.12

I can understand the temptation, but it's hellishly risky from here unless you allow the shares to be called, but a cold CPI print next week could easily rally the markets again, who knows, maybe the FED come with a 0.25 or maybe no rate hike, yes it's unlikely, but unlikely things happen this year - can be that you're OK to sell all the shares, then go all-in on puts and do The Wheel on steroids - that indeed could be profitable if we keep seeing the current volatility, who knows, it's a risk

I'm thinking to be more aggressive next year, but I won't go all-in an ATM cc's, well depends on the SP, if we were at 300 then I would, but below 200, more like 10x - 20x contracts to allow an easy escape scenario in case the stock takes-off
Do I sell CCs for next Friday now or I wait?

OK Elon, time to lower the boom. I have 60 CC's out there. Time to announce a share buyback, or 1000 Semi's to be delivered by Tuesday. They're lined up like bowling pins from 180 to 205.
It was the only way to bail out my put spread, I sold, when we hit the for sure low on fake Shanghai news on Monday.
Wondering if Elon and the entire stock market was waiting for this post. I say bring it, take my calls! I don't think you have the guts.

Closed Dec 9 - c 187.5, - c 190, -c 192.5 early when TSLA was still 175.

STO Dec 16 - c 197.5, - c 202.5. Selling 2/3 of my usual volume for next week.

Glad to see the pop today. I think this will ease the upside if CPI should be lower than expected next Tuesday.

Plan for next week: if CPI tanks the stock, will sell the last 1/3 of my sold calls. If stock price pops after CPI, roll as needed. I am excepting that if I need to roll again, I won't have enough margin to continue to sell as many weeklies until the March and April sold calls come off the books.

Still have following positions from previous trades: Dec 16 - p 167.5. Jan 20 - p 156.67, Mar 17 - c 260, Apr 23 - c275, Jan 2025 - c 480

I sold $210's for next week for $0.52 and single $200 $1.28 🤣 that as risky as I will go.
Hmm, good thing I saw this. I thought I sold a 200c for $1.03 earlier this morning, but I actually bought it. Closed it out for $1.22, and turned around and sold it for the same price. Double-checked this time to make sure I sold it :)

My order to roll P175 (12/9) to P165 (12/16) for 10 cents credit got executed yesterday. Trying to sell some 182.5/187.5 call spreads for 25 cents.

I'm really daring SP to raise ....
So it worked this time.

I think this is one of the issues with rolling if SP touches the strike price. I rolled my P175 .... now I'll roll182.5/187.5 for small credit. If I had just waited at least one of them would have expired worthless ;)
