actually, it's not even lost income, it's only lost opportunity

earnings is 50-50 bet, anything could go wrong

great if my bet is right, but massive loss if i am caught on the wrong side

besides, smci/nvda prems are 6-10x that of tsla for the same delta

I love earnings. I always play earning and P&D and just love the IV crush. In the last 5 years I got burn once but I just roll the position and eventually I was able to scape.

Tesla is really pulling all the levers to improve the financials. I am not sure what to think about it. I really want to buy 30% of the shares that I sold back and I was hoping for a better price. After ER I will make my decision.

Can you share how you play the IV crush around earnings? Super far otm? Or do you just open at high IV and hope it doesn't go against you?

Happy to see this change actually. It seems that the past 3-4 quarters they were sleeping at the wheel in this regard, especially during the earning calls. And we saw the results of that nonchalant attitude.

I’m happy too to be mostly flat on short calls for a change. Feels empty but necessary.

yea for sure but until they reveal fsd take rate percentage after this discount, i don’t think this will help much but who knows
