The timing of these layoffs or resignations confirms that Q1 ER is going to be a really bad one. All it takes for TSLA to break the 160 level is one big fund liquidating their position and looks like we might have the catalyst to make that happen.

one week before earnings... there's a 98% chance that this Friday's Close is within +/- 10% of today's Open

Piling on here but CNBC's Lebeau said this morning there's likely a TSLA union vote coming with about 70% calling for a vote to unionize.

Pure speculation - senior staff unhappy with recent robotaxis/model 2 decision?
no speculation > pure speculation

This is getting tiring, people. leave the speculation to the other thread, please.

It's CNBC so you know it's tainted. But even if it were true, it would be just the Fremont factory holding a vote and man if those people want to see their jobs vanish faster than $100 at a Vegas blackjack table, then go head.

With the way things have been going internally with Tesla, wouldn't be at all surprised if Elon announced Fremont was closing and all production lines are moving to GigaTexas even if it meant a quarter or so of downtime to move everything. He clearly doesn't care about the optics

Macro gave up all the morning gain. QQQ in red and SPY barely hanging on.
TSLA continuing it's bizarre strength by somehow refusing to go lower while the macro's gave up all their gains.

Just very difficult to see TSLA holding that low of 160.51 for a whole week with this mountain of negativity.

is this "mountain" bigger than the 50k miss?
I'd think that if someone bought the 50k miss, they'd not be fazed by a few guys leaving. It's like willing to marry a porn star but find her parking tickets a deal breaker.

Generally yes I agree with ya.

But there is a worry of if negative events continually hit over the next 5 trading days, that those that bought and defended the 160 low decided to just, at least temporarily, throw in the towel 🤷‍♂️

zero chance they could shut down Fremont and move it to Tesla and be back up and running with similar production volume in 1Q, let alone 2Q. IF they did that, it’s another story of consolidation - but not a good one, and would be a much greater indicator that they see VERY low demand and most likely losing 2-3Q of regular production level at least NA wide, would probably result in another 25% down at least.
