Sentry mode, only one recent clip. Everything else is from last year

I have Sentry Mode enabled when away from home. I found some scratches on my M3 today so I thought I'd have a look to see if Sentry Mode caught anything. Unfortunately, there are loads of clips from 2022, then only clips from 1 April 2023. The RecentClips folder shows my journey today, so the car seems to have been able to record to the memory.

What might cause this? Do I need to manually empty out Sentry Mode clips? My understanding is that the oldest would be overwritten when the memory fills up.

There was a change that switched off the camera in sentry mode unless it thinks the car has been broken into. You can change it, sorry I forget the exact names.

That's the one, just bear in mind it'll trigger anytime anything comes on the camera's close to the car. In a car park it can leave you with loads of clips.

Appreciate the guidance. On balance, I feel that is going to be better than having nothing captured even though the car was scratched.

@MrData I feel your pain, I was in exactly the same situation few weeks ago. Car with some scratches and no sentry recording, it was disabled after the service appointment.
