Does anyone know how to enhance the video quality of a Sentry video clip? I got a dent in a parking lot yesterday and am trying to read a license plate that is a little blurry. Any help would be great, Thanks!
Something that can "stack" video frames into a single still image, with proper alignments, would improve the readability. Probably not worth the effort. Astrophotography would be one application that uses that kind of processing. As for TV show style picture enhancements... no.
If your sentry mode videos are as blurry and pixelated as mine is, there isn't much you can do to enhance the quality but maybe the parking lot had its own cameras? See if you can ask them for footage from your timestamps.
Thanks for the advice, this looks like difficult going unless the the numbers on the plate are within 5 feet. I did get the store video, it was from the roof of the Home Depot and was even worse quality, fairly useless. Unfortunately it was a runaway shopping cart, so no hit and run.
This isn't very helpful but do you have HW3? I've seen posts about improved dashcam quality and bitrate with the new hardware and I know my HW2.5 is not that great.
Thank you! Here are two screen shots, I will try to get video posted soon, but these are likely the closest his car got on the Sentry Video. Any assistance would be great!
