About the Cyber Truck shattered windows demo, should the car windows be unbreakable or not?

What would be safer and how to exit in case of emergency?

Shatter proof is easy to do and does not incur the outsize weight penalty of making a surface "unbreakable" or "bullet proof". I see no logic in those attributes when it comes to mass market vehicles.

(normal) Car side windows are tempered glass. Tempered glass is VERY hard to break and striking with the head of a hammer may not even break it. While it sounds easy trying to kick and break a window from the inside to get out would be very hard to do (although frameless are easier).

HOWEVER when tempered glass does break the entire pane COMPLETELY shatters/implodes and you have (almost) nothing left in the frame.

[ironically]Had Tesla used normal tempered glass it would have completely shattered and for the rest of the presentation it would have probably looked more "normal" instead of this.[/ironically]
