Pending Modifications:
  • Ceramic Tint
  • Rally Mudflaps
  • Paint Correction
  • Rocker, Door Handle, and Trunk Seal PPF
  • Changing "White" color TESLA to "Black" color TESLA on Brack Calibers
  • Tesla Roof Racks
Tires:
  • Martian Wheels MW05 19x9.0 Satin Gunmetal
  • Michelin Pilot Sport All Season 4s on 275/40/19 Squared
Thoughts:
  • It's like driving my old Model 3 Performance car again!!!! Handling is EXCELLENT now, and I can carve through canyons (I don't, but I can, and that's all that matters, lol)
  • 275/40/19 has no rubbing on the full wheel lockout
  • Changed in-car settings to 20" Wheels and Squared
  • Would have gone 275/45/19, but Michelin doesn't sell that tire configuration, and I wanted the Michelin Pilot Sport All Season 4s.
  • Efficiency seems better, but I cannot confirm until these new shoes are broken in around 1,500 miles. But my Wh/mi has gone down drastically from the 21" Uberturbines if that matters to anyone, and I'm driving this as I stole it now that I have my tires on it.

No spare tyre. Model Y standard tyre size are 255/45 R19. Getting a 20" on the Rear 275/45 R20 should be 275/40 R20, would make the rear ride a bit higher giving it a bit more ground clearance. I would rotate the 4 off 19" in the front and also have spare wheels if needed. Speed correction and diameter would effect the way the vehicle drives. Smaller diameter faster acceleration, larger wheels more top end and less roll resistant? What are your thoughts and experiences on this delightful mullet subject.

Very nice. Looks like some good curb protection too.

I don't see any suspension modifications...you're saying just changing to smaller/lighter wheels improved the handling that much? I know less unsprung mass can improve the ride, but the handling?

I'm considering 20" from Martian or TSportline. Lotta coin though with new tires.
