Sidewall failure. 12k on Raven Performance X. Is this a pinch or defect?

While driving at 70 mph after 40 miles and not hitting anything I had a sudden sidewall failure. It almost looked like a bullet hole with a rip up the side. There is a very small scar on the rim, although I believe the mark is where I wiped dust from the area. Should I ask continental for a warranty inspection or just replace and move on?

You should just replace it and move on.

I think you hit something. Tire would not have nicked your rim. But what did also cut the tire.
