So is 34 miles still consider brand new?!?

I'm set to have my Model 3 delivered on Thursday. The delivery specialist stated that the car has 34 miles on it. I asked if that was normal for a new car... of course, he said it was.

Should I make a big deal about it? Thoughts?

I would still consider it a new car and wouldn't worry as long as it passes your personal inspection requirements. My car was delivered with 20 miles on it. Did you ask anyone at Tesla if the car was rejected or returned by another customer ?

They had me do paperwork for 50 miles on my Tesla, which I think was what my previous cars were (but I don't really remember them.) It had 11 miles at delivery.

In Colorado cars with less than 1,500 miles that haven't been titled can be sold as new.

It's possible they drove it from one location to another.

I think I’ve read that they do pick random cars off the line for quality testing. They drive it around a little bit to make sure everything is ok and there’s nothing that needs to be addressed with the current batch of cars being built. If anything I would prefer to get a car with that many miles as it would indicate that the car received much more attention right after it came off the line and therefore is hopefully less likely to have any issues.

Mine was rejected by another customer and had 18 miles on it (I think).

New cars can be used for test rides but shouldn’t be used if the car already has a buyer identified from the factory. I wouldn’t be too worried since it is an electric car. With an ICE you run the risk of someone abusing the gas engine by redlining it. Buy it and enjoy your amazing vehicle.

The highest mileage new car I have bought had 100 miles.
7 miles was the lowest.
I didn't even look how many miles my Model 3 had at the time of delivery. But I deduced it to be about 20 miles.
