Text Messaging Improvements
Consecutive messages from the same sender will now be displayed and dictated together for an improved viewing and listening experience. To view conversations, open the Application Launcher and tap Call > Messages.
You can also now double press the right scroll wheel button to easily dismiss an incoming text message, or re-record an outgoing text message. As usual, to enable text messaging, tap the Bluetooth icon on the top of the display, and enable "Sync Messages". Note: Due to the limitations of Bluetooth support from your device, you will not be able to send group messages.
Unlatching Charge Cable (S &X only)
You can now press the small black button to the left of the charge port inlet to unlatch the charge cable when your car is unlocked. This may be particularly useful when charging with charge cables that do not have a release button on the connector handle. Note: You still have the ability to unlatch a charge cable by using other methods, such as from the vehicle touchscreen, the Mobile App, the connector handle button, or by pressing and holding the rear trunk button on the key fob.
TRAX v0.2
TRAX is now redesigned to help you create audio masterpieces with just a few taps. Quickly preview and mix sounds with a new drum machine and instrument selector, or use new tools and volume controls to reorder, loop and mix tracks. To access, open the Application Launcher and tap Toybox > TRAX > Let's JAM.
Sentry Mode Improvements
Sentry Mode footage of the last panic event will now be saved to onboard memory. To view or save this clip, plug in a USB device, launch the Dashcam Viewer, and tap the save icon on the bottom right corner of the screen.

Helaas niet echt iets groots. Misschien komt dat nog dit jaar maar geen verbeteringen betreffende (Smart) Summon, Birds Eye view, verkeers/matrixbordherkenning of wellicht gewoon de FSD visualisation. Hoeft niet eens zelf dat FSD is ingeschakeld maar gewoon dat we zien wat de auto wel of niet herkend inclusief path planning als FSD zou zijn ingeschakeld.

Klopt, kan er niks over posten maar ik krijg bepaalde features zoals afgelopen zomer stoppen voor verkeerslichten als EAP beta.
On-topic: 2020.48 heeft inderdaad niet veel spannends. Hopelijk voor het eind van het jaar nog een (interessantere) release.
Hoe ben je daar zo ingerold? Ooit was het verhaal dat mensen die vanaf t begin FSD bestelden software eerder zouden krijgen maar ik heb daar uiteindelijk nooit daadwerkelijk iets van gemerkt.
Pas maar op, voor je het weet gaan andere Tesla rijders achter je aan rijden om te zien hoe jou auto zich gedraagt met de EAP beta
Jammer dat de verbetering in de navigatie vooralsnog alleen in China beschikbaar is. Ziet er wel goed uit. Ben benieuwd of deze aanpassing binnenkort ook naar Nederland komt.

Maargoed het komt ook door gebruikers die om allerhande weer apps smeken op Twitter (please er zijn al tig duizend goede weerapps in elke appstore) dat er elke release ontwikkelcapaciteit hierheen gaat.

Geloof me, autopilot wordt er NIET beter van als je programmeurs erbij trekt die tot gisteren aan de grafische interface van een DJ app zaten te werken.
Maar als ze er 5 van ontslaan kunnen ze daarna misschien wel een goede embedded software developer er voor inhuren.
Ook twijfelachtig of het nuttig is. De 4 relevante basiswetten van software engineering (en innovatie als geheel):
- Law of Diminishing Returns: het toevoegen van extra resources op een bestaande taak is eerst efficienter, daarna steeds minder efficient, en uiteindelijk nul
- Brooks' Law: "adding manpower to a late project makes it later", ook wel populair bekend als "nine women can't make a baby in one month"
- Hofstadter's Law: "it always takes longer than you expect", oftewel er is altijd een belangrijk probleem dat je niet had voorzien
- Gall's Law: “A complex system that works has evolved from a simple system that worked. A complex system built from scratch won’t work.” Als je een systeem als autopilot meteen perfect probeert te doen gaat het fout. Zie autopilot rewrite zoveel die er nu aan komt. Als je niet simpel begint en van daaruit verder uitbreidt gaat het al-tijd fout.
