No need to tow it. 2400 pounds should easily fit in the Model 3's trunk, frunk or even glove box.
Perhaps he mis-spelled. He meant it will weigh 2400 lbs

Since M3 is designed from the ground up, anything is possible.

I think they should design front to back.
It will be a Class I hitch which is rated up to 2000#. Class II is up to 3500# and no way it will be that.

I know Elon tweeted M3 having a hitch but I don't believe it has come up since. (He also said M3 would have the cockpit of a spaceship.) Has it been confirmed?
Yeah, because "hitch" is just as open to interpretation as "spaceship."
