I have listed to the audio in an SR+ and in my LR back to back and the premium version is better I wouldn't say it's worth the cost and hassle of upgrading from SR+. Everyone's ears are different though.
Not in car now but something like "no external amplifier".Our of curiosity, on the Car Info screen there is a more info button (or something like that), what does it say reguarding your audio?
Good to hear. Id like more bass and a general improvement if possible.Sound is very personal thing, and it all depends on what you are after.
I listen to mainly vocal/instrumental stuff so when upgrading the base audio in our X I looked into speaker upgrades rather than the sub, as I found the bass response already pretty good even without an additional subwoofer.
I originally ordered some fancy speakers which had been apparently developed for the S/X, at $500 each they weren't cheap but after waiting 2 month for delivery and radio silence from the vendor I had to call up Amex to get a refund from them - It the only time ever in my life I had to contact a credit card company to get my cash back.
I than went to a local audio installer, they had never worked on a X but had worked on a S so were happy to help. I ended up paying about £350 to get both front speakers replaced by some great Focal units.
The sound is now fantastic, I would say its on par with an amplified home HiFi setup, its certainly good enough for me to not worry about adding in a Sub or replacing the centeal front speaker.
Might be that simply adding an amp might help? Based on the rear heated seats you might have the hardware it’s just “off”Not in car now but something like "no external amplifier".
View attachment 509253 This is what a UK SR+ looks like
I think the “Full Self Driving Computer” entry simply refers to HW3. I’ve got the same on my information screen, and I don’t have FSD.I should add that I added a Homelink module and have FSD

I upgraded 2 (left & right) of my front 4inch mid range speakers (there are 3 at the front that work in all M3 versions) and used Audison APX 4 speakers.Hi,
What are the practical options for upgrading the audio to something like the LR model etc? Doesn't have to be official but has anyone paid someone to add a subwoofer etc?
