SR+ Lowering Springs

Guys,

Is there a difference between the RWD models in regards to lowering springs?

I see T Sportline's website has options for Long Range RWD and Standard Range.

To my knowledge, they are mechanically the same in terms of suspension.

Am I wrong? Thanks.

I've seen a few people post pics of their SR+ with LR RWD lowering springs installed, so they will fit just fine.

It's strange that vendors sell different springs (part #) for SR+, LR, dual motor, Performance. Even Tesla has different coils (part #) for their models.

Any thoughts on why? Perhaps different spring rates?

Yes, different spring rates. Eibach for example are testing a single part # on all 4 (LR, SR, SR+, AWD) to find out which suits best with that application.

AWD/Performance have a second motor in the front and more weight.

If you're referring to the SR+, they have a vehicle for testing next week. Their R&D team usually do testing for a full day. If all goes well, production # and release will be within 1 - 1.5 month.
