Starting warranty repair request but warranty expires beforea repairs?

Here is the question maybe people have had experience with...

I just raised service request (bubble appeared on the steering wheel "leather")

I am 100 miles before my warranty expires... And quite possibly this will be repaired/fixed/replaced after warranty runs out next week.

So will tesla honor that request was made while still in warranty!?

Yes, as the problem occurred within warranty.

But do ensure you've added a photo to the service request, that's proof it happened before the end of warranty.

You can add a photo as message within the request, without having to amend the actual request which does reset it. Although if you're still within warranty now, it doesn't matter either way.

That's not true. Ford gave me free repairs for a broken AC and a free rental car a YEAR after the warranty had expired.
