Hi All. Wondering if mechanical noise when turning the steering wheel is normal? Only just noticed it when stationary or slow speed manoeuvres. Coming from inside the car so not the ball joints etc. cars only done 3,000 miles. Just curious if the steering wheel is silent in other cars or makes a noise.

It is most likely the clock spring for the airbag and steering wheel control buttons.
It's normal! No other way to get the control circuit harness to work because the wheel turns.
