It is bullshit because it worked. That's bullshit, just because the car doesn't "support" lumbar doesn't mean we shouldn't have the ability to retrofit. Every car in history has been modified to death.

Exactly! hahaha. Passenger-side lumbar is still working on my car since the most recent update hasn't been pushed to my car. I had my girlfriend set her lumbar setting prior to the update being pushed. It is bull *sugar* because it worked.
They aren't stopping you from modifying your car, you just can't use their lumbar parts to do it.Every car in history has been modified to death.
I’ve done my best pile on and tag those peopleSo frustrating.
While aftermarket companies are making auto frunk, auto doors, auto presenting door handles and who knows what else, we are getting boned trying to instal OEM parts to retain a function. We really do need someone with online presence to tweet elon.
Apparently? So does lumbar/seat control have its own ECU? Wonder if we just swap that if they can’t enable it with our “incompatible” ECU?
I’m going to give it awhile before I reach back out to service; but I’m curious to know where the ECU is and what the cost would be on one that supports dual lumbar. Looks like it’s a part that can be bought over the counter without a specific vinApparently?
It isn't just a matter of having the correct ECU, which a lot of people have, it is a matter of the car having the configuration that says you have an ECU that supports both. And Tesla doesn't allow the configuration to be changed, even by their own service techs. (They even have a Teleforce bot that checks the configuration remotely and corrects it if it gets "corrupted".)I’m going to give it awhile before I reach back out to service; but I’m curious to know where the ECU is and what the cost would be on one that supports dual lumbar. This, it has to be an official tesla retro fit for that flag to be changed. Assuming you are on 2022.4.5; does your lumbar still work?Just had the number installed by the service center. Cost $320.
I retweeted you and liked it. Hopefully, we can get some traction here.
Fingers crossedI have a mobile appt tomorrow. Going to say I don’t know why it stopped working and see what can be done.
