Suggestion: Tesla APIs to display device UI on the screen

A really smart solution would be if Tesla can create a platform/APIs so we can display our device screens on the Tesla screen. Open for all platforms like Android, Windows phone, iOS, Windows 8, Linux, MacOS etc. By doing this we can all use the devices we love and utilize the big screen to display apps like Waze, Here drive+, Here maps, email, skype, lync, pictures, videos, streaming TV etc...

If built really neat with nice split screen or full screen capabilities, touch etc...

Then they can create a platform for apps in the car thet is relevant to have there. But providing the choice by a dispaly to platform would be extremely brilliant, let people use what they love today and in the future...

yes but why locking to the low security android platform? give us screen sharing instead... sooo much smarter...

The real question is how many devices have the ability to screen share. And how many also have the ability to accept touch feedback from the external screen. And does the Model S have the ability to send back screen feedback.

And if your phone does do all that, how many different protocols are there for such interaction?

It would be great, but I doubt the hardware, and standard protocols are there yet.
