Tesla quoted over $4K (1/3 parts and 2/3 labor) to repair AC unit with new parts (chiller, evaporator, condenser, compressor), clean old lines for metal shavings etc. Seems VERY HIGH! Any alternatives for consideration?
what happened?
seems on par with other posters with similar repair...
any auto shop should be able to do, if they willing to work on Tesla, AC system is the same as ICE, just needs dialectic oil n dedicated AC machine for hybrid/EV (to avoid oil contamination)
