I'm in Bowie and there are several options to charge a Tesla, most are found at Bowie Town Center. You can use EVGO and their Tesla handle or a CCS\Chademo adapter at EVGO, EA or Shell Recharge (formerly GreenLots).
EVgo. Broken always, CCS typically much more expensive and why go to these extremes when there (honestly) should be a charger somewhere between Severn and Upper Marlboro.

Just opened a 6 months ago. Seems Tesla picked the right spot - shoulda put in 16.
They sure should have. I was at the Bowie charger the same day @PStewart took photos, just a bit earlier and it was pretty slammed. There is a newish Royal Farms off MD-202/Exit 17 off the Beltway that would be great for a Supercharger. However, 202 can get pretty congested because of the shopping center with the Wegmans and Costco there, plus the access coming off the Beltway would entail a U-Turn at Lottsford Road. The Royal Farms off Ritchie-Marlboro Road and the Beltway is also good potential for Superchargers; that Wawa on the other side of the Beltway is entirely too crowded and wonky to get to with the traffic circles, and the ingress/egress. I also think the Wawas on Crain Highway in Bowie/Upper Marlboro as well as the one in Crofton/Gambrills could be good relief locations.

Sure. It’s a conspiracy against Bowie. 😂

301 definitely needs more Superchargers, particularly around Bowie. There are a lot of new Tesla owners who don’t have home charging for one reason or another, so more Superchargers in convenient locations are critical for their user experience.

If you have the ability to install home charging, it really is a good thing to do. 20,000 miles is all it takes to pay off the average home charging installation.

Only if you don't care about your time! If you do, it pays off way faster.

It's a real problem if you live in an apartment or condo without individual garages. Or a house with on-street parking. Not many of the latter around Bowie, but plenty of the former. Eventually landlords and condo associations will realize they're losing customers by not including charging, but that's still a few years off.

And furthermore... Wait, this is a thread on the Bowie supercharger. Never mind.

It’s a real problem period. Where you live shouldn’t matter. Does where you live damper the ability to go to a gas station or a pizza spot? Better yet a liquor store?
