Alliant Energy is pro-EV and Renewable energy. They have Large Wind and Solar installations in Iowa and a major solar project underway in Wisconsin. They also offer a $500 rebate for L2 EVSE installations for their customers.

They did this at all of their sites in the Midwest. Cedar Rapids, and Mason City come to mind right away.

Unfortunately, not finished in time for this year’s EAA AirVenture. Crew said it should be done in about a month or so.

I got excited this weekend because I saw the fence was down, but when I got closer, I realized the fence fell down and was lying on the ground.

8/15/23 Update: All of the equipment installation appears complete. Light poles are up. Both Charge Point L2 units appeared ready with all signage. I did not notice a Transformer anywhere. But I’m wondering if it might be inside the Brick building. That building has its own Meter attached. (not for Tesla). The “Empty “ meter housing is on the East end of the Switch gear cabinets.

Looks like recent storms knocked over the fencing and blew the top cover off the far west end SuC pedestal.

Units are up! Not open yet, but looks like they will be soon.

In typical Wisconsin fashion, just seems to be waiting on the meter.

I drove by earlier this evening, and it looks like the meter is installed! Two double plug Chargepoint L2 chargers are on site and appear to be live as well. Free to use for up to two hours, then $2/hour afterwards. Hopefully this comes online any day now!

The Meter is a good indicator it won’t be long now.

Did you look to see if the meter was had power “00000” etc?

I tried it yesterday, but no juice. The trailer spot is really easy to back a trailer out of, not that it matters when the trailer is small enough to pick up and move.

Thanks. Fwiw, the quick indicator for the pedestals having Power is the “TESLA” being lit up.

I don't know if I've ever noticed them lit during the day. I was more curious about trailer convenience anyway. It's easy to back out of.
