That's the Denny's address. The Day's Inn has the same number address, but on a street..
However, with 20 stalls, there doesn't seem to be that much space in the lot.
But on satellite photos there seems to be other spaces around if they add some paving.

I thought I noticed bollards being put in on a site north of Hwy58 in east Bakersfield. So I check for a permit, that is how I found these permits. I have since passed through that area and cannot identify the site. I must have been imagining the site.

East Bakersfield? oh, you mean you were looking for something heading towards Mojave on 58 and stumbled upon this one? Like one of the Mojave sites?

Well I just had to jump in here to celebrate! Finally a charger in Lost Hills for me!

The chargers are installed, and the pavement has been striped. Two rows of chargers, arranged in an "L", in front of and on one side of the Denny's. Uncovered signs say "Tesla Vehicle Charging Only". No transformer, and an obvious spot for a transformer is lacking the concrete slab needed to support its weight.

This is on Tesla's Mapp as Q2 2023. Either they are expecting a huge wait for a transformer or have lots of cushion planned in.

Just drove by yesterday. Still bagged. There is a lot of construction in the area. The local highway has a single lane that is shared by both directions of traffic. I’m wondering if they are delaying the opening so it doesn’t bring extra traffic which construction is still in process.

Looks like the future transformer location is still just a hole in the ground. Tesla says opening Q2 2023, so perhaps we'll finally see long-awaited progress soon!

No transformer--still just a hole in the dirt. Tesla now says Q3 2023, so I guess PG&E updated them with bad news. While the charger pedestals are bagged, the parking slots are being pre-ICEd .
