It's official. I and others are charging here. This is a great location now that I know where it is. It's in the parking garage on level P2, which was lower than P1.

Nice find! I spent a few minutes trying to figure out if this was correlated to any site under construction (it appears not).

So these are of the "urban charger pallet" variety. I wonder if these are supposed to be permanent or temporary?

Well I hope they're permanent but we'll see. I hadn't been to the Kaleidoscope and over 10 years but now I have a reason to, hehe.

I still don't see this site on the Find Us map. Could that be an indication it is temporary? I'm not sure why they wouldn't keep it here. It is a great location and will help the Kaleidoscope businesses.

I will keep an eye on it. It's still on my app map as of this morning.

The Find Us map is often one of the last things to get updated for a new Supercharger site, for some reason. So it might be a little early to conclude anything.

I too hope they are permanent. Pallets are bolted to the pavement. Here are some pics of the conduit and load center:

Additional note: preconditioned and was able to pull 71kw which I would expect from an urban charger (as opposed to some add-on style temp chargers that max out at 50kw).

I had no idea these existed until I noticed this thread just now. Do they still exist? No reports on plugshare at all ...

The other MV mall urban superchargers are the closest to where I live, would be great to have a few more stalls as the first location can be quite busy.

No problem charging here today but a weird experience since the mall is ~80% empty. After using the restroom, my wife would rather return to the vehicle instead of exploring what’s open.

Interestingly, this location is not listed in Tesla’s “Find Us” website. Maybe even Tesla doesn’t want you to charge there.

Wow folks, Tesla has been sneaky about a massive upgrade to this site. It's on the floor above the one that's currently operational. The upgraded site is on level P1; it has 24 V3s plus another 20 destination chargers which is perfect for long stays at the mall. This is a very exciting development. I only came here to check out the the site because I was low on juice... I went to the wrong level and I discovered what was going on. This upgraded site looks like it's almost operational as well.

Someone I talked to said they'll be removing the urban chargers on P2 once the new ones are live but we'll see. Maybe the P2 ones were always meant to be temporary.

No change since last week. I think like Laguna Hills we're just waiting on San Diego Gas and Electric here.

Still waiting. A quick count showed 22 destination chargers too. On level 2.
It’s confusing for folks that don’t know about the temporary chargers on Level 1.
I had to direct someone downstairs on my way out. He was getting ready to leave.
Tesla needs some signage here until they activate the SCs.

I will check again soon but it doesn't seem the level pictured above is live yet. It wasn't when I visited about 10 days ago and still no sign of life for the V3s on the app/car as of a few days ago. Still just the Urbans below this.

The caution tape is mostly down last I looked and the spots are being ICE'd but I can't blame them since they were down. I just hope they get the message when they go live.

I wonder what the hold-up is here?

I just left a VM and emailed Kaleidoscope to see what news they may have. Also, I just checked the app and the V3s still don't show.

I emailed Kaleidoscope again, but I confirmed they are waiting on SDG&E... I found where the transformer will go.

Also, I counted 20 L2s today (I thought I counted 22 previously), with 5 of them being J-1772s.

And to help ease my confusion, the new site is on P1 (Parking Level 1). The temporary site is on P2 (below P1). There's a P3 below even that, but it's roped off. Even P2 is scarcely used. And not to confusing things further, but there's another parking level above P1, called Main Level. Fun, huh?

This is getting old. Still no transformer. Does anyone know what's going on with SDG&E? This is a large site, the upgrade, that's just languishing.

Still no transformer here as well. But the SDG&E signs are still here, unlike at San Juan.

Not sure what's going on with this one...just went to this location last weekend and still no power.
