Yeah, this is basically someone going through the maps (which have been up for six months) and converting the grey dot locations into prose.
No additional research or insight that I can see.

Either that or they'll have to have snow tires or chains part of the year for I-40 or I-70, respectively. This is why I-10 is so important to get done. West Texas is no joke. Push that combination of cold, elevation, speed, and rain without slowing down at some point, and a tow truck can be in your future real quick.
