There hasn't been ANY new Supercharger construction started in Michigan this year. All they've done is finish up sites that were started last year.

FYI, this location has been replaced on the official Supercharger map with Northville, MI. Target opening in...2022.

My guess is at the Meijer on 8 and Haggerty. They apparently added other charging stations at some point and its right off the freeway with lots of food choices nearby.

I was going to speculate the same thing. I am curious however if there would be any sort of contract that Meijer has with the existing charging providers that would prevent Tesla chargers from being installed. Given that most (all of the ones that I have been to) of the chargers in Michigan are located at a Meijer, I would guess that this is the eventual location.

I was told by the Chief Building Official for Northville Township that Tesla has submitted a building application for the southwest corner of 8 Mile Rd and Haggerty Rd, which is the relative location of the Meijer in Northville.

For consistency with Tesla's naming that'll be Northville, MI or Northville Township, MI.

I have to ask, how did you go about finding that on the site? I have been checking it almost every day, but I am not very familiar with how best to search for permits.

Normal process of getting the building permit approved. Don't be surprised if it takes a few months and there's multiple cycles of denials and resubmission.
