Yes - it certainly is dragging. My wife and I visit our daughter in San Antonio frequently. I either must charge at the Huebner Oaks SC (which is almost always full - and slow) or go out of my way to the V3 on North Loop 1604.
You mention "shoehorning." When I visited the site back in mid-July, I was surprised at the location. Not much space behind the stores in the shopping center.
