Awesome! Another location located right by 101/85 for the Bay Area to LA drive if needed. I think this is a very good location since if you're driving down to LA from the bay you want to not stop until you hit somewhere along the middle of I5 and if you're coming up this is a good stop that isn't in the middle of nowhere if you need to get further up north.

Also a pretty location to service those that live in the Santa Teresa area in San Jose.

... perhaps now someone will now take over the former Sweet Tomatoes restaurant. I was hoping that the owner of the Marie Callendar's restaurant on Blossom Hill which closed would consider this location. Perhaps the attraction of EV owners charging their cars in the parking lot 24-7 would sweeten the pot.

I work very close to this location, and there are many BEV owners here. There is little question that we will be taking advantage of the new pedestals! What would be perfect would be to add some number of level 2 spots as well.

Just a week after k1drbar noticed the start of construction, the contractor is already moving dirt and installing underground conduit. Assuming there isn't a long wait for PG&E to connect the transformer, this station may be ready really soon.

I live and work less that half a mile from this location, so I'm supper excited to see it come online.

This part made me laugh. You don't follow Supercharger construction in PG&E land much do you?

I heard a rumor a long time ago (in EV timelines) and it went like this: "PG&E won't order your transformer until your equipment installation is signed off by the City". This explains a lot regarding the time to light up DCFC sites in PG&E Territory. Hopefully the State or CPUC or someone that has authority over PG&E policies will do something about this, if it is in fact true.

Drove by last night and was listening to a piece of heavy equipment running. I went into the Lucky's store and when I came out no more noise. As I was leaving I slowly drove by to see what was going on. They have dug some seriously deep holes where the chargers will be going in. They have forms built around them and it looks like they are putting in conduit and getting ready to pull wires. Rather exciting actually.

I will probably never use them but it is a good place to stop if you are on 101 or 85 and need some juice. If you need human sustenance you have Togo's, and 5 or 6 local choices from Korean and Vietnamese to American food. After business hours there is a McDonald's there as well.

Making progress! It looks like they will be orienting the pedestals so there will be more options for connecting, even access one pedestal from adjacent spaces. Some other spots seem different, probably at least one pull through space.. Not so sure how it will work out in the end. I hear they are waiting to receive the pedestals.

I'm sure that you are correct HandleX. I hadn't considered it before, but you can see that the cable conduits come up through the center of the base. Hopefully we will be seeing physical confirmation very soon.

It also appears that Tesla will not be placing the support hardware behind a fence. In fact, in one photo you can see that there are two spaces very close to the large controller boxes. Might these be Megacharger spots?

If I were to guess those are probably Handicap spaces.

These pictures were taken today. Looks like all the underground and pavement work is done. The handicap signs and new light poles are in place. Still missing are the charging pedestals and a PG&E transformer.

Yes, my colleague and I walk past the site at lunch almost every week day. They've already done a lot of the wiring between the white boxes. We've met the project manager a couple times, he says it may be a couple months to get the pedestals and transformer. We can't wait!

There has been some minor progress in the last few weeks. They covered the area with a slurry seal to cover up the construction work and to make the asphalt look brand new with the lane markings. Still no sign of the charging pedestals and PG&E transformer.
