Supercharger - Toronto Fairview Mall, ON

Electrical contractor there today 11am and they were looking at the supercharger cabinets inside the brown fenced enclosure. Two males.

A model S taking up a few parking spots but not plugged in and a BMW parked 11:25am.

Couldn’t really tell but it kind of looks like some of the chargers might be lit up.

Driving with my co worker who doesn’t drive a Tesla, so couldn’t get a chance to get closer or try plugging in.

Just drove by again and that same Model S has moved and plugged in again. Taking a closer look the Superchargers definitely look lit up.

1. That is probably the commissioner for Tesla who is testing out the chargers one by one so
2. I’d recommend you go back when you can because they will probably be online by then (First Use!)
3. That other car is a Volvo, not a BMW. As a car lover, I am insulted

Ahh the Volvo, I was looking at the picture thru the thumbnail.

I’ll check it out again in about 20 mins and try plugging in.

Supercharger lights aren’t lit up anymore. Those guys must have been testing each stall.

For future reference, this is the tell-tale sign of supercharger activation!

They've got people doing work on various spots where pavement had been cut into previously, with the area near the transformer likely getting some concrete

The supercharger in Wausau, Wisconsin was put in at a hotel under construction where they finished the supercharger before the hotel was completed (and before the parking lot was paved). A Tesla supercharger tech I spoke with specifically told me that the supercharger was complete and tested, but he cut the power so people weren't tempted to charge until the lot was paved and other construction was complete. When they finished with the hotel construction, he simply went back and turned the power to the supercharger back on. I think that's what's going on here.

Paving is about half done.
They finished the north side of the area already. West side is part done, and south side not started.
Shouldn’t be too long now!

Paving equipment gone, one pick up truck and a male seen closing up the fenced enclosure of the hydro vaults at 3:35pm today.

A few more photos 6:30pm today. Pavement looks all good now. Probably waiting for them to seal and then paint the lines.

Just walked by again, chargers are all lit up. I walked to Fairview Mall, so couldn’t plug in. Barrier cones to the entrance removed too. Enjoy!
