It’s definitely not the best practice. I know that on S/X eventually after a certain amount of charges the cars will start to throttle down your supercharge speeds to protect the health of the battery.
It's what I do, except not necessarily every other day, often longer. Once ever few months, you will want to bring up to 100% to let the batteries balance. For me, a trip is the reason to do it.
"Does Supercharging affect my battery?
The peak-charging rate of the battery may decrease slightly after a large number of high-rate charging sessions, such as those at Superchargers. To ensure maximum driving range and battery safety, the battery charge rate is decreased when the battery is too cold, when it is nearly full or when its condition changes with usage and age. These changes in the condition of the battery may increase total Supercharger time by a few minutes over time."
My understanding of the throttling as:
1) All Fast DC chargings like CHAdeMO, CCS... and not just Superchargers.
2) It doesn't say the frequency, how often, or "in a row".. but it does say "a large number".
3) It doesn't say anything about the State of Charge from 0% to 100%.
