Surfing with your Model X

Wondering if anyone has been able to go surfing with a Model X.

I have 2 challenges in mind:

1. Can you fit a surfboard in it?
2. What do you do with the key while surfing?

I'm used to cars having a "valet key" that I could stuff in my wetsuit and go into the water with. Not sure what to do with the MX. Looking forward to hearing your experience.

you can leave the key at home at use the mobile app if you have a waterproof phone case or leave your phone somewhere else

Be aware that if your phone or car experience cellular connectivity issues you will be stranded unless you have your key.

I recommend a small waterproof enclosure for the key.

I used to use a magnetic hide a key for past cars. Wonder if there is anyplace on an aluminum car to stick it.

Probably on the trailer hitch supports.

If you feel brave, you can put in the frunk... and use the emergency access to open it.

And, I have to add, you need to put in a faraday bag or something to actually let the car turn off!

Wondering if anyone has been able to go surfing with a Model X.

I tried...but the MX kept sinking and I couldn't get a foot grip on the pano roof.☺
On a more serious note, I agree with the waterproof case.
As far as the fit, what seat version do you have? You might be able to fit it in a 5 seat model, or between the seats in a 6 seat model if the board is short enough.
In my 6 seater I have 90 inches of length between the back of the center console and the back of the trunk.

Has anyone tried making a waterproof RFID key for a model X using an Arduino kit or something similar?
